The Central Election Commission has reported ongoing operations at the Municipal Counting Centers (QKN) and the main Counting and Results Center following the early elections for the Kosovo Assembly, held on April 7, 2026. As of Thursday, the verification and counting process has been finalized across 28 of the 38 designated municipal centers. Overall, a total of 2,118 ballots have been processed out of a combined total of 2,498 ballots across all municipal counting sites, representing 84.79% completion of the preliminary tally.

The Commission provided specific updates regarding the completion of work at various municipal levels. On Friday, April 8, by midnight, five centers reported full processing: Junik (6 out of 6), Shtërpcë (17 out of 17), Hani i Elezit (11 out of 11), Partesh (7 out of 7), and Mamushë (5 out of 5). By 4:00 PM, two additional municipal centers finalized their counting procedures. These included Zubin Potok, which reported 15 out of 15 processed ballots, and Zveçan, which accounted for 11 completed counts. These regular updates are crucial for maintaining transparency throughout the national counting effort, ensuring that all collected ballots are accounted for and verified by the respective municipal authorities.
