During his attendance at the Bled Strategic Forum in Slovenia, the Croatian prime minister, Andrej Plenković, addressed the potential organization of a funeral for Radko Mladić by Serbia. The Croatian leader stated that Mladić is a war criminal, specifically citing his role as a commander in Knin and holding responsibility for severe crimes committed in Škabrnja and other regions of Croatia. Furthermore, Plenković contextualized the potential action within the framework of Serbia’s integration goals with the European Union. He suggested that such an event could be viewed as an action that hinders Belgrade’s own path toward EU membership.
