Durmishi: Over 40 million euros for new jobs, entrepreneurs, and training

The Government of the Republic of North Macedonia recently approved the operational plan for active employment programs and labor market measures intended for 2026. This plan allocates a substantial sum exceeding 2.4 billion denars, which translates to more than 40 million euros, to bolster employment opportunities, support entrepreneurship, and foster human capital development within the nation. During a press conference, the Minister of Economy and Labor, Besar Durmishi, alongside the Director of the Employment Agency of the Republic of North Macedonia, Adnan Ejup, detailed the specific measures and programs detailed in the comprehensive Plan.

These initiatives are projected to benefit more than 10,000 citizens. Minister Durmishi stated that the operational Plan constitutes one of the government’s most significant economic and social policy undertakings. The primary objective of these measures is the creation of new employment opportunities across various sectors.

The approved framework aims to provide structured support mechanisms designed to integrate citizens into the workforce and stimulate economic growth. The focus remains on proactive labor market interventions, ensuring that resources are directed toward job creation and skills enhancement.
