Filkov: In partnership with the UN, we are oriented towards the modernization of the judiciary

Minister of Justice Igor Filkov recently held a significant meeting with representatives from the United Nations and the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) to discuss the digital transformation of the judicial system. The high-level gathering included key figures such as the UN Resident Coordinator in Macedonia, Rita Columbia; UNOPS Regional Director, Mikela Talin; the representative from the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, Tanja Temelkoska; and Marko Vujaciq, the UNOPS program leader for Southeast Europe. The central focus of the meeting was establishing a robust strategic partnership designed to modernize the nation’s judiciary.

Participants aimed to develop mechanisms that would result in a judicial system that is markedly more efficient, transparent, and accessible to all citizens. During discussions, the representatives emphasized that digital integration is crucial for improving public trust and operational capacity within the legal framework.
