Five prosecutors confirmed for the position of State Prosecutor General

Five individuals have been confirmed for the highly sought-after position of State Prosecutor, following the closure of the application period on Wednesday, June 10. The list of candidates, presented in alphabetical order, includes several established legal professionals from various departments within the state’s prosecutorial offices. The five confirmed applicants are: Atdhe Dema, who currently serves as a Prosecutor in the Department for Investigation of Terrorism at the Special Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Kosovo; Naim Abazi, a Prosecutor assigned to the Department for Investigation of Corruption and Financial Crime at the Special Prosecutor’s Office; and Rafet Halimi, who also holds the role of Prosecutor within the Department for Investigation of Corruption and Financial Crime at the Special Prosecutor’s Office.

The list also names Shqipdon Fazliu, a Prosecutor from the Office of the State Prosecutor, and Zejnullah Gashi, who currently functions as the Chief Prosecutor of the Basic Prosecutor’s Office in Pristina. During the reporting, Atdhe Dema confirmed his application status via telephone.
