From the roof of a house, the Inspectorate clarifies the death in Prizren: The victim was not a worker

The Central Labor Inspectorate has released a clarification regarding an incident that occurred in Prizren involving a fall from a structure. Following a notification from the Kosovo Police, officials from the inspectorate arrived at the scene in the evening, around 7:00 PM, to investigate the circumstances. The initial investigation focused on a fatal incident where an individual fell from the roof of a private house from an estimated height of eight meters.

According to the official announcement, the Central Labor Inspectorate determined that the deceased was not classified as an employee or worker involved in the renovation activities taking place at the property. The accident took place at a private house undergoing roof renovation. While construction work was actively underway on the structure, the inspectorate clarified that the victim was not engaged in the labor process.

Instead, authorities reported that the individual was identified as the owner’s brother. This clarification indicates a distinction between those actively participating in the renovation work and the person involved in the fall. The presence of the inspectorate at the scene was to assess the circumstances surrounding the accident within the context of the ongoing construction activities.

The findings emphasize that the victim’s status as a non-worker was a key element in the initial report issued by the inspectorate regarding the incident in Prizren.
