The Hydrometeorological Institute (IHK) has issued a forecast detailing today’s weather conditions, predicting a day characterized by sunny skies and periods of scattered cloud cover, particularly noticeable within mountainous regions. According to the IHK report, the expected minimum ambient temperatures are set to range between 11 and 16 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperatures are anticipated to reach between 29 and 34 degrees Celsius. Winds are forecast to originate from the west-southwest at speeds of 1 to 4 meters per second.
The IHK strongly advises the public to remain vigilant regarding the risk of dehydration. Due to the anticipated high temperatures during midday and the afternoon hours, there is an elevated risk of heat stress, especially for vulnerable populations. Consequently, the institute recommends several preventative measures: maintaining adequate fluid intake, avoiding prolonged, direct sun exposure, limiting strenuous physical activity during the hottest parts of the day, and utilizing appropriate protection against UV radiation.
From an agricultural perspective, the weather outlook suggests conditions favorable for the ripening phase of crops due to the high temperatures and dry conditions. However, this same climatic pattern concurrently escalates the overall water requirements for agricultural sustainability.
