Shkumbin Kryeziu has been sentenced to 20 years imprisonment following a conviction by the Prishtina Court for his involvement in the 2021 fatal stabbing incident in Hajvali. The court found him guilty of participating in the death of V. Xh., a young man, which occurred after a series of prior disagreements.
According to court records, Kryeziu and an individual were involved in a confrontation with Xh., resulting in multiple injuries. As a consequence of these injuries, Xh. died.
Kryeziu was convicted of murder in concert and possession of a weapon. The Prishtina Basic Court issued a sentence of 19 years and six months imprisonment for the murder charge and one year for weapon possession. The court also imposed a unique sentence of 20 years imprisonment for Kryeziu.
The defendant was not present during the announcement of the verdict on July 25, 2024, by the Prishtina Appellate Court.
