Erjon Veliaj has addressed the allegations and ongoing legal matters, asserting that the situation is fundamentally unjust and driven by ulterior motives. As reported by Anila Hoxha, Veliaj declared, “I am not here seeking sympathy, nor for the turmoil inflicted upon my family by this individual. I am present to illustrate the damage wrought by the Tirana Municipality, particularly when individuals lacking university qualifications are subjected to arrest.”
He continued, “I am the only person arrested by someone who does not exist.
Nesti Angoni does not exist. The charges concerning the incinerators are central to this matter.” Veliaj added that his recent victory in a defamation lawsuit against an Italian citizen demonstrates his resolve. “I harbor a strong suspicion that this entire sequence of events constitutes a conspiracy,” he stated.
“Where has Erjon Veliaj been harmed in his professional endeavors? What motivated me to initiate this lawsuit was a singular instance: the failure to register a procedure within the two-week deadline, delayed for seven months for me.”
He emphasized that he is not here for pity, nor for the drama of his family, who has caused this.
