Ibrahim’s Center fights for the bronze medal at “Taranto 2026”

At the Mediterranean Games held in Taranto, Kosovo’s contingent has demonstrated significant success across multiple sporting disciplines. In the sport of karate, athlete Qëndresa Ibrahimi secured a bronze medal. Ibrahimi advanced to the semi-finals after defeating the Turkish competitor, Zumra Rezan.

During the semi-final round, she was challenged by Chaimae Elhayti of Morocco. The overall performance at the Taranto Games has been marked by multiple successes for the nation. In other events, the team has already accumulated five total medals.

These achievements include a gold medal won by Donjeta Sadiku in boxing, and a silver medal secured by Laura Fazliu in judo. Furthermore, three other athletes—Akil Gjakova, Fatjona Kasapi, and Flaka Loxha—contributed to the tally with bronze medals.
