Leaders from the Democratic Party of Kosovo and the Democratic League of Kosovo have reportedly responded positively to a recent invitations extended by acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti. However, the Alliance has declined participation in the proposed meeting. Political analyst Ilir Deda commented on these developments, viewing Kurti’s outreach to various political leaders as a constructive step.
Nevertheless, Deda emphasized that Kurti, alongside key figures from the PDK, including Bedri Hamza, and the LDK, specifically Lumir Abdixhiku, bear the responsibility of providing the state with a stable solution promptly. The current political deadlock stems from the failure of parties to reach a consensus regarding the candidate for the new state presidency, an impasse that necessitated holding elections in April. Deda suggested that the resolution requires input from three individuals possessing significant political influence.
He advised against continuing a cycle of numerous, brief meetings that have historically failed to produce tangible outcomes. The analyst stressed the urgency of a definitive agreement, stating that finding a solution should not remain dependent on protracted negotiations. The focus, according to Deda, must shift toward decisive action from the involved political stakeholders to ensure governmental stability.
