In April, healthcare salaries will increase.

In April, significant changes are coming to healthcare salaries in North Macedonia, according to a report by Gazeta Express published on March 27, 2026, at 11:16. Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski confirmed during a parliamentary session that wage increases for healthcare workers will be implemented. These rises are expected to be between 5 and 7 percent.

The government has clearly demonstrated its backing for key professionals, including family doctors, gynecologists, and dentists. Mickoski highlighted that this adjustment follows a considerable period of stagnation. Furthermore, the government has taken action to improve access to medication.

New medicines have been added to the approved list, and processes are underway for substantial investments in the nation’s healthcare infrastructure. The Prime Minister underscored the importance of this commitment. The total healthcare budget for the current year is nearly one billion euros, and these wage increases have been deliberately incorporated into the financial plan.

This agreement regarding healthcare salaries remains valid until the end of the year.
