In Skanderbeg Square, the obelisk with the letters of the UÇK is erected.

An obelisk bearing the letters of the Kosovo Liberation Army (UÇK) was unveiled in the village of Kostërrc in Skenderaj on August 16, 2026, during a ceremony held at 7:00 PM. The project was spearheaded by Berat Dervishaj, Bujar Dervishi, and Fitim Mehmeti, the village headman, with assistance from former UÇK commander Musa Dervishaj. Petrit Spahiu contributed to the initiative by donating the necessary plot of land and providing on-site assistance.

The physical construction involved Florim Spahiu and his family, alongside Nexhat Dervishi, Besnik Dervishi, and Leonard Mehmeti. The obelisk was funded through voluntary contributions from several citizens, marking the successful culmination of the organizers’ commitment. The unveiling ceremony was attended by local citizens, UÇK veterans, and guests from various cities.

The dedication of the monument highlights community effort and remembrance within the village.
