Interventions in four neighborhoods of Peja to unblock the squares

The “Hidrodrini” Waterworks announced that its Sewage Sector teams recently completed a comprehensive operation aimed at cleaning and unblocking the sewage network and manholes across several areas of the city. The interventions were carried out in four specific neighborhoods within Peja, including “Agim Qelaj,” “Mehmet Gradica,” “Adem Jashari,” and “Papa Klimenti.”

During the maintenance work, teams successfully removed various obstructions from the system. These debris included solid materials and significant amounts of food waste.

The Waterworks noted that such items are inappropriate for disposal within the sewage infrastructure. The accumulation of this non-wastewater refuse has been identified as the primary cause of severe blockages, which consequently impair the normal and intended functionality of the sewage system. The sewage network is designed exclusively for the conveyance of wastewater.

The presence of solid waste materials compromises its structural integrity and operational efficiency. Consequently, the utility company issued a formal appeal to the citizenry. Residents are strongly urged to exercise diligence and ensure that the sewage network is utilized solely for its designated purpose—the disposal of wastewater—to maintain system reliability and prevent future blockages.
