The Institute of Public Health has inaugurated the nation’s first specialized psychological counseling center dedicated to children and adolescents. According to Marija Andonovska, the director of the Institute, the facility will offer professional support services to children, adolescents, parents, and teachers via a new “My Appointment” system. Andonovska stated that the opening of this counseling center represents a significant component of the Institute’s broader initiatives aimed at enhancing overall health services and rebuilding public trust in institutional care.
She noted, “Today, together with the guests, we had the honor of opening the psychological counseling center for children and adolescents for the first time, which is the only one of its kind in the country. Its goal is for professionals to work with children, adolescents, parents, and teachers to overcome emotional challenges.”
The new center is designed to provide comprehensive psychological support, recognizing the multifaceted needs of the family unit. By centralizing specialized care, the facility intends to offer accessible resources for emotional well-being.
The integration of the “My Appointment” system is expected to streamline access to these vital services for all stakeholders, ensuring that both children and their support network can receive timely professional guidance. This specialized counseling service aims to improve mental health outcomes across the community by providing expert assistance to all involved parties.
