Kurti optimistic after meeting with Abdixhiku and Osmani: Rationality is prevailing in talks

Albin Kurti, leader of the Vetëvendosje Movement, indicated that assessing the success of the recent meeting involving him, Lumir Abdixhiku of the LDK, and President Vjosa Osmani is premature. Following the discussions, Kurti stated that while all primary political topics were addressed, no definitive conclusions have been reached. “We still have four weeks until the start of the constitutive session.

There is no topic that we have not discussed, but we still do not have any conclusions to share with you,” he reported. Despite the lack of immediate outcomes, Kurti expressed optimism regarding the ongoing dialogue among the political parties. He noted that the process requires both trust and time to yield results.

“I am optimistic about the rationality that is prevailing from these meetings. It is an undertaking that requires trust and time for results. We also have the confidentiality of these conversations,” he added.

The scope of the talks covered the government, the Assembly, and the presidency, with current political developments being a central focus. Throughout the press briefing, the leader of the LVV emphasized that the primary objective of his party is to secure a political agreement that would prevent the necessity of holding new elections. “We are interested in agreements so that we don’t have elections.

The common goal is to avoid elections. We aim for political agreements, as we are political entities,” Kurti concluded, underscoring the ongoing nature of the talks.
