Kosovo and Turkey Strengthen Strategic Cooperation
During a meeting held today, Kosovo’s Minister of Industry, Mimoza Kusari-Lila, welcomed Turkey’s Minister of Trade, Omer Bolat, marking Bolat’s initial official visit of his current term. The discussion centered on the established positive relationship between the two nations and the need to further develop strategic partnerships. “Kosovo and turkey are two friendly countries,” stated Minister Kusari.
“Our strategic cooperation across sectors – including security, diplomacy, and economics – is continuously expanding through new collaborative initiatives.”
Kusari highlighted recent increases in trade exchanges, particularly in Kosovo’s exports. However, she acknowledged a persistent challenge regarding imports from turkey. “We continue to work towards addressing the current imbalance,” she explained.
“The level of imports from turkey remains a significant factor, and we require new and more… strategies to address this deficit.”
The meeting underscored a commitment to ongoing dialogue and collaboration between Kosovo and turkey, aiming to bolster economic ties and reinforce existing strategic alliances. Further details regarding specific initiatives are expected to be released in the coming weeks.
