LAMM issued an update this morning detailing current conditions at several key transportation points across North Macedonia. Travelers should anticipate specific delays when passing through certain international crossings. According to LAMM, delays are expected at the Tabanocë border crossing, with estimated wait times ranging from 40 minutes to one hour for both entry and exit from the country.
Additionally, an exit delay has been reported at the Bogorodica border crossing. LAMM noted that other border crossings are currently experiencing no significant delays. Regarding domestic travel, traffic on state roads is reported to be proceeding without incident, with conditions remaining dry.
However, LAMM observed an increase in traffic intensity on roads situated outside of major urban centers. While general road conditions are manageable, authorities issued cautions for all motorists. Drivers are advised to adjust their speed, adhere strictly to installed traffic signals, and exercise heightened caution, particularly when traversing areas prone to topographical hazards.
This warning specifically applies to sections passing through valleys, river valleys, and slopes, where the potential for mud sliding exists. Key high-risk sections identified include Katllanovë – Veles, Mavrovë – Dibër – Strugë, Vinicë – Berovë, and Koçan – Dellçevë. Motorists are urged to remain vigilant while traveling on these routes.
