Opposition parties in North Macedonia, including the LSDM, are reporting a dire situation for their supporters, with 1,500 families experiencing significant hardship over the past several years. The government’s policies regarding the Ohrid-Prespa region have resulted in widespread economic difficulties for these families. Reports indicate that 1,500 families have lost their homes due to government actions.
Recent events have included the closure of Arteks in Koçani, impacting 100 textile workers who are now unemployed and without their previous salaries. Additionally, workers were laid off by “Bechtel and Enka.”
Several companies operating in the TIRZ area have closed factories, leaving hundreds of families without income. These actions have created a precarious situation for many citizens, characterized by job losses and financial instability.
