LSDM: Filkov is doing nothing to extradite Gruevski

LSDM Claims Justice Ministry Delaying Gruevski Extradition Documents

Skopje – The Liberal Democratic Party (LSDM) has accused the North Macedonian courts of providing all necessary documentation for the extradition of former Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski, while simultaneously alleging a critical delay by the Ministry of Justice. According to the LSDM, the documents are currently held within the Ministry of Justice, and Justice Minister Igor Filkov has not yet initiated their transmission. The party asserts that there is no justification for the continued delay and demands immediate action from the institutions.

“We have no reason to expect these documents,” stated an LSDM spokesperson. “The Ministry of Justice must act without further delay.”

The LSDM is accusing the government of Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski of deliberately obstructing Gruevski’s extradition proceedings. The party contends that the government is knowingly protecting Gruevski, effectively granting him the opportunity to relocate to a third country.

The situation remains under scrutiny as legal proceedings continue regarding Gruevski’s extradition to Hungary. The Ministry of Justice has not yet responded to requests for comment regarding the allegations raised by the LSDM and the status of the documents.
