LSDM: Mickoski copies Vuqi with the early election scenario

The LSDM has strongly criticized the call for early elections, suggesting it is an attempt to obscure several critical governance failures. According to the party’s statement, the proposed elections aim to distract the public from issues stemming from alleged mismanagement through public tenders, unfulfilled promises to citizens, and a deteriorating national economy. The LSDM asserted that the overall situation has worsened significantly over the last two years.

They pointed to evidence of declining living standards, citing that wages are among the lowest in Europe and that citizens are experiencing increased hardship. Economically, the party highlighted several adverse trends, including a general economic downturn, reductions in subsidies, and a reported 60% decrease in foreign investments. Furthermore, the LSDM provided statistics indicating that inflation rates are twice those recorded in the Eurozone, and poverty levels have risen by 22% within the first year alone.

The party also noted a substantial increase in national debt amounting to 2.5 billion euros. In presenting this critique, the LSDM questioned the timing of the election call, suggesting that the timing itself raises concerns regarding accountability. The party maintained that the cumulative negative indicators—including the worsening economic climate and rising poverty—demonstrate a pervasive decline in the national situation, which they argue is getting progressively worse.
