The individual, identified as a citizen of North Macedonia, arrived via a flight originating from Zagreb. According to reports, the passenger attempted to bypass payment of required import duties by utilizing the green channel, which is designated for goods that do not require declaration.
However, the traveler was selected for a more thorough inspection by customs personnel. During the process, the passenger initially declared that she had nothing to declare. Following an X-ray examination and a detailed inspection of her luggage, customs officials discovered twenty-three pieces of Swarovski jewelry.
The seizure highlighted an attempt to circumvent established customs regulations. The matter was subsequently escalated to the Department of Investigation within the Control and Investigation Sector. Authorities have filed a criminal complaint against the individual, formally accusing her of smuggling.
