Ministry of Justice and Human Rights in the RMV: Protest against the removal of a paragraph for manipulation of political structures

The Ministry of Justice of North Macedonia is actively engaging with the public and prioritizing dialogue following recent protests. Recognizing the right to peaceful assembly, the Ministry has launched public initiatives aimed at fostering a democratic and constructive conversation with citizens. Specifically, the Ministry has taken concrete steps to safeguard the rights of the Albanian minority within its institution.

This includes addressing concerns raised during recent demonstrations. Recent protests, often marked by slogans such as “Fillkov dorëheqje” (“The right to protest”) and “Gjuha shqipe nuk negociohet” (“The Albanian language is not a business”), were organized by Albanian students in Skopje. The Ministry of Justice has responded to these demonstrations, demonstrating a commitment to understanding and addressing the issues raised.

Officials state that these actions reflect a dedication to upholding constitutional principles and ensuring a respectful environment for all communities within North Macedonia. The Ministry continues to work towards open communication and the resolution of concerns through established channels.
