Mother reports son, new details emerge regarding triple homicide in Malë i Zi – two victims and suspect from Rozhaja

Suspect in Podgorica Murder Reported by Mother Following Confession

Rožaj’s Basic State Prosecution head, Aldin Kalaq, stated to CdM that the mother of Vehid Muriqi (25), a suspect in the triple homicide at Podgorica’s “Stari Aerodrom” neighborhood, alerted authorities following her son’s admission of guilt. According to Kalaq, Muriqi informed his mother that he had blood on his hands and subsequently left the residence. The mother then reported this incident to the police.

Kalaq emphasized that reports circulating regarding a potential family violence complaint are inaccurate. “The mother did not report any violence against her,” he told CdM. The investigation centers around the deaths of Marko Kojić and Stefan Kojić, alongside another unidentified individual, and the involvement of Vehid Muriqi, who is based in Rožaj.

The Montenegrin prosecution has released details regarding the case, confirming Muriqi as the primary suspect. The Police Directorate confirmed that the investigation is ongoing in coordination with the High Prosecution. Kalaq told CdM that the initial report came directly from the mother.
