Mustafa Criticizes Kurti’s Recent Offer Following Election Results
Debat Plus featured a discussion with Besian Mustafa, a representative from the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), who addressed recent statements made by Prime Minister Albin Kurti regarding political negotiations. Mustafa stated that following the December 28th elections, a sincere offer from Kurti could have been presented and concrete negotiations initiated, including addressing the ongoing issue of the President’s role. During the debate, Mustafa expressed disappointment that such action was not taken.
He asserted that Kurti’s government established itself through a coalition and with support from nine deputies representing non-Serbian minority groups. This approach, according to Mustafa, mirrored the government’s actions regarding the Parliament and the Government, rendering the need for LDK involvement unnecessary. Specifically, Mustafa highlighted a two-month period of discussion concerning the President’s appointment, noting a one-week delay in proceedings.
He emphasized the need for immediate action and a genuine commitment to resolving the current political impasse. The LDK representative’s comments reflect the party’s continued stance regarding the need for inclusive dialogue and a swift resolution to the outstanding issues.
