Renovation of Seventh Operating Room at Skopje’s “8 Shtatori” Hospital Completed

Skopje’s “8 Shtatori” hospital has finalized the renovation of its seventh operating room, according to a statement released today. Health Minister Azir Aliu toured the newly completed spaces, highlighting the project’s significance for the institution. The renovation encompassed approximately 2,000 square meters dedicated to a range of surgical specialties, including abdominal surgery, urology, otolaryngology (ENT), and ophthalmology.

Minister Aliu emphasized that this represents a crucial advancement in the hospital’s health infrastructure. The extensive reconstruction included the adaptation of several key departments. Specifically, the project addressed the operating block, intensive care unit, administrative area, pathology department, clinical laboratory, and roof construction.

The completed work has created a fully functional and technologically equipped health space. The “8 Shtatori” hospital, often referred to as simply “Shtatori,” has undergone a significant modernization effort. This new operating room contributes to the hospital’s ongoing commitment to providing updated medical care within the facility.

Further improvements to the hospital’s infrastructure continue to be a priority for the Ministry of Health.
