Nikolloski: Construction of the Gostivar-Bukojçan highway as part of Corridor 8 is progressing at an accelerated pace

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, Aleksandar Nikolloski, has reported that the development of the Gostivar-Bukojčan highway, a critical segment of Corridor 8, is progressing rapidly. In a statement shared via social media, Nikolloski detailed the scope of the ongoing infrastructure work, confirming that construction efforts are currently multifaceted. The current phase of the project involves simultaneous work streams focused on both the main roadbed foundation and the erection of supporting pylons for the planned viaduct structures.

Nikolloski specified that the construction effort encompasses four overpasses and one underpass. He noted with emphasis that one of the overpasses has already reached full completion, marking a significant milestone for the project timeline. The Minister assessed the overall advancement of the Gostivar corridor, stating that the work is proceeding in alignment with the established schedule.

Nikolloski reiterated the government’s commitment to national development, emphasizing that sustained investment in infrastructure remains a core governmental priority for North Macedonia.
