One month of house arrest for the suspect in Prizren; four criminal charges are suspected.

The Basic Court in Prizren has established a pre-trial detention period of one month for the defendant, identified as E.R., who faces suspicion of involvement in four criminal acts. The Court’s official notice indicates that this detention period was set subsequent to a request from the State Prosecutor’s Office and is subject to extension until September 3, 2026. The allegations suggest that the defendant is suspected of two co-authored criminal acts: unlawful deprivation of liberty and intimidation occurring within the course of a criminal procedure.

According to the court’s documentation, the accusations state that in 2025, the defendant, working with other individuals, allegedly coerced another person into committing acts that damaged the victim’s property. These actions, the court noted, were purportedly carried out through threats, resulting in fear, anxiety, and insecurity for both the victim and their family. Additionally, the court alleges that the defendant participated with others in depriving the victim of their liberty.

These findings constitute the basis for the current pre-trial detention order.
