Over 688 hectares of dry wheat in Kamenicë, the process continues

The Municipality of Kamenicë has confirmed the commencement of its annual harvesting and sowing campaign, a process proceeding in accordance with the directives issued by the Directorate of Agriculture, Forestry, and Rural Development. Operations began this year with the harvesting of alder crops on April 11, followed by the commencement of the wheat harvest on April 14. The start of this year’s agricultural activities experienced a delay of several days compared to the previous year.

This postponement was attributed to elevated moisture levels observed across the agricultural crops in the region. The scope of the current campaign encompasses several key crops. Authorities anticipate the harvesting of approximately 1,250 hectares of wheat, alongside 70 hectares of alder, 100 hectares of barley, and 50 hectares of rye.

To manage this extensive workload, twenty-nine combine harvesters have been mobilized. These machines have successfully completed preliminary technical acceptance checks and are fully equipped with the necessary operational permits. The successful execution of this agricultural cycle is crucial for regional food security.

The coordinated efforts between local administration and specialized agricultural machinery are designed to maximize efficiency throughout the harvest and sowing cycle. Officials stated that adherence to the established departmental plans ensures that the transition from harvest to sowing proceeds systematically across the designated territories of Kamenicë.
