The acting Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Dimal Basha, announced the completion of the reconstruction and expansion works for the “Bujar Roka” road, a segment integral to the new Gjakova Ring Road. According to the Municipality’s statement, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport has invested more than five million euros in this significant project, intended to enhance the local infrastructure and improve traffic flow within the city of Gjakova. Minister Basha further detailed the scope of the Ministry’s commitment to the area.
He reported that, when combined with a previously awarded contract for the exit route from Gjakova towards Prizren and the ongoing development for the new transit system, the Ministry’s total investment in the Gjakova Ring Road reaches 8.7 million euros. The announcement clarified that the overall design of the road network was developed by the Municipality of Gjakova, while the funding for the initiative was fully secured by the contributing entity. The completion of the “Bujar Roka” segment marks a major milestone in the development of the city’s transportation network.
These combined efforts aim to modernize the infrastructure surrounding Gjakova, thereby facilitating smoother and more efficient circulation for residents and commuters alike.
