PDK Declares End to Dialogue with Kurti; Tahiri States Process Complete

Prishtina, Kosovo – The Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) has formally closed the door on discussions with President Albin Kurti, according to party leadership. Following a meeting of the PDK’s Executive Council, held today, party leader Arian Tahiri announced a definitive stance on the ongoing presidential dispute. The Executive Council meeting, convened after more than four months, followed a previous Leadership meeting held two weeks prior.

Tahiri explained that regular Leadership meetings address ongoing matters and positions within the party. However, he emphasized the significant delay in convening the Executive Council. “Our position is clear that we will not cooperate and will not further communicate with Albin Kurti regarding the issue of the President,” Tahiri stated.

He indicated that the process for selecting a President is now complete and the PDK will not engage in further negotiations. The statement comes as tensions remain high between the PDK and the current government. Further details regarding the specific discussions held during the Executive Council meeting were not immediately available.
