A central point of contention for Petkovski was a statement attributed to the president, which suggested that obstructing Macedonia’s path toward the European Union results in mutual losses, stating, “by blocking Macedonia on its way to the EU, both Macedonia and the country blocking it lose equally.”
According to Petkovski, this statement represented a substantial error. He pointed out that this assessment was made just hours after the president had delivered her speech. Through his public statements, Petkovski advances several claims regarding the political messaging.
