Police authorities in Shtime seized an amount of suspected marijuana following an operation conducted in the region. According to a statement issued by the Regional Police Directorate in Ferizaj, the incident took place on August 4, 2026, at approximately 00:55 hours in the village of Gllavicë. The seizure occurred as part of the ongoing operational plan designated “Vera 2026.”
Drug investigators from the Police Station in Shtime initiated the stop after intercepting a vehicle bearing foreign license plates.
Upon inspection, authorities identified the driver, identified as A.T., aged 19, and a passenger who was 20 years old. Initially, officers found cigarette wrapping papers inside the vehicle. Subsequently, a package containing a suspected narcotic substance weighing 3.42 grams was discovered.
Both individuals were subsequently escorted to the Police Station in Shtime. Following the stop, the driver was questioned by the police officers regarding the contents found. The operation underscores the continuous efforts of the police force to monitor and interdict illegal narcotics trafficking within the area.
The findings were documented and handed over to the appropriate investigative units for further processing.
