Police supported the action to demolish illegal villas in Ujman, no casualties

Kosovo authorities initiated an operation on Monday to demolish eleven villas constructed illegally on the property belonging to the Public Hydroeconomic Enterprise “Ibër-Lepenc.” The demolition took place in the Ujmani Lake area, situated within the municipality of Zubin Potok. The operation was executed by the Inspectorate of the Ministry of Environment, Spatial Planning, and Infrastructure, with the support of the Kosovo police. The enforcement action proceeded without reported incident.

Erduan Baliqi, the Head of Planning within the Regional Police Operation in North Mitrovica, confirmed the police presence, stating that their role was limited to ensuring security during the execution of the official decision. Baliqi noted that the police were present to assist “Ibër-Lepenc” as they carried out their work. The intervention aimed to remove structures built without proper authorization on land designated to “Ibër-Lepenc.” The involvement of the police was strictly for security purposes during the physical removal of the unauthorized buildings.

This coordinated action underscores the authorities’ efforts to enforce spatial planning regulations within the specified area.
