The Deputy Mayor of Pristina Municipality, Besiana Musmurati, has announced the launch of the “Qef n’Lagje” program, an initiative designed to decentralize cultural engagement by bringing live music and diverse cultural activities directly into the city’s residential neighborhoods. Musmurati emphasized that cultural events should not be confined solely to the central districts but must also reach the areas where citizens reside. The scope of the “Qef n’Lagje” program is extensive, slated to cover ten distinct neighborhoods: Dardani, Ulpianë, Bregu i Diellit, Kolovicë, Kodra e Trimave, Hajvali, Muhaxherë, Muharrem Fejzë, Matiqan, and Kalabri.
The cultural programming will feature performances from several noted artists, including Nita Latifi, Offchestra, Florent GjonMadh Abrashi, and String String. These planned concerts aim to enrich community life across the designated lagje. The program is officially organized by the Directorate of Culture, operating under the direction of Isah Mustafa.
The launch is scheduled to commence in the Dardani neighborhood on August 5th, beginning at 8:00 PM at the “Mbi Kurriz” venue. Through this effort, the “Qef n’Lagje” initiative seeks to establish a consistent cultural presence, ensuring that artistic enjoyment is accessible throughout the municipality.
