Rrustemi accuses the PDK of pressuring the LDK: Preventing cooperation with Vetëvendosje

Adnan Rrustemi, a newly elected Deputy of the Vetëvendosje Movement, has stated that the recent parliamentary elections were unwarranted. According to Rrustemi, the outcomes of the elections demonstrated that the primary need for the country is institutional stability rather than the implementation of new electoral processes. In an interview with KosovaPress, Rrustemi asserted that once the election results were announced and certified, the focus of political discourse must immediately shift toward forming necessary state institutions.

He directed criticism toward the opposition, suggesting that their refusal to cooperate is the cause of the current national crisis. Rrustemi further argued that the necessity of the elections could have been avoided had the Vetëvendosje Movement’s proposal for a coalition government with the LDK been accepted the previous year. He contended that the opposition’s actions were motivated by a desire to weaken the Vetëvendosje Movement by forcing the country into premature elections.

The statements from rrustemi emphasize a call for immediate political negotiation to stabilize the nation. He maintains that the interpretation of the election results points toward a consensus-building approach, rather than further electoral contests. The core message suggests that political parties must now prioritize forming a governing structure to ensure the stability of the country.
