A vehicular accident in the Istog area resulted in the loss of life for two people, according to Fadil Gashi, the police spokesperson for the Peja region. Gashi confirmed that local police were notified of the incident at approximately 3:20 PM. The collision occurred between two vehicles in the village of Shushicë.
Authorities confirmed that the casualties included two fatalities. One death was verified by the attending physician at the scene of the accident, while the death of the second person was officially confirmed at the Peja Regional Hospital. In addition to the two deceased, three other people were transported to the Peja Hospital and are receiving treatment for serious injuries.
According to medical staff on site, the injured individuals sustained significant trauma. Emergency response was substantial, with police units, emergency medical services, firefighters, and the State Prosecutor’s Office converging on the scene. The presence of these agencies managed the immediate aftermath of the accident and provided necessary care for those involved.
