According to data released by the Ministry of Finance, the total accrued and unpaid liabilities held by state institutions reached 692,523,113 euros at the close of the quarter. This figure represents an increase of 26.37 million euros when compared to the liabilities recorded at the end of December 2025. Analyzing the quarterly trend, the increase in accrued and unpaid liabilities amounted to 17.55 million euros.
Furthermore, when benchmarked against the same period in the previous year, the outstanding debts showed a rise of nearly 3 million euros. The composition of these liabilities reveals significant figures across various sectors. Liabilities owed to the public sector alone reached 344.5 million euros, marking an approximate increase of 15 million euros compared to the previous year.
Following this, the second largest category of outstanding liabilities involves the private sector, civil associations, and other non-profit organizations. These figures provide a detailed snapshot of the financial obligations managed by state institutions. The data indicates persistent upward trends in outstanding financial commitments, both on an annual basis and over the most recent three-month period.
