The commencement of the academic cycle traditionally brings a period of anticipation and enthusiasm for students. However, for families experiencing economic hardship or social difficulties, the necessary preparations for the academic term—including school supplies, bags, and clothing—can present significant financial strain. To mitigate these challenges, Islamic Relief Kosovo has initiated a targeted support program this year.
This initiative aims to assist 2,000 children by providing essential school bags and necessary educational materials. The objective is to ensure that these students can begin the new school year with a sense of dignity and security, minimizing any disparity they might feel compared to their peers. Furthermore, the program incorporates provisions for personal well-being.
As part of this broader support effort, 500 of the supported children will also receive the opportunity to select new clothing items at a designated shopping center. This aspect of the support is designed to allow the children to experience the personal satisfaction associated with choosing their own attire for the upcoming months. By addressing these foundational needs, Islamic Relief Kosovo seeks to remove material barriers that might otherwise impede a child’s ability to participate fully in the educational environment.
The provision of these resources is intended to support the continuity of learning and foster a positive transition into the new school year for all beneficiaries.
