Sveçla accuses the PDK of “pardoning” Përparim Rama: The circle is narrowing

Gëzim Sveçla, head of the Self-Determination Movement Assembly Group within the Pristina Municipal Council, criticized the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) concerning its apparent support for the Mayor of Pristina, Përparim Rama. Sveçla noted that the LDK has not publicly voiced any reservations or concerns regarding Rama’s current administration. In a statement posted on Facebook, Sveçla referenced criticisms previously issued by LDK leader Lumir Abdixhiku and former LDK leader Isa Mustafa.

He also pointed to concerns raised by KfW regarding the “Termokos” project. Furthermore, Sveçla addressed the physical state of the city, citing visible waste left from the “Sunny Hill” festival. He also revived ongoing public discussions related to property legalization within Pristina.

Sveçla’s comments followed a statement released by the Pristina Municipality regarding the Mayor. The critique suggests a divergence between the LDK’s public stance and the issues Sveçla highlighted, including municipal management and urban development. The discussion centers on the governance of Pristina and the oversight of key municipal projects involving Rama.
