The Central Election Commission distributes over 2.1 million euros to the political parties represented in Parliament

The Central Election Commission (CEC) has issued a decision detailing the allocation of financial resources from the Fund for the Support of Political Entities operating within the Parliament of Kosovo. This disbursement plan covers the operational period spanning from April 9 to October 31, 2026, with a total sum allocated for this phase amounting to 2,113,735.89 euros. The distribution methodology is governed by the Law on the Financing of Political Entities, which stipulates that funds from this Fund must be distributed among political entities based directly on the number of seats they hold in the parliament.

For the specified period, and following the constitution of the Parliament of Kosovo, the CEC will execute the distribution in two parts. Firstly, a special decision from the CEC will allocate 10% of the total fund to support the work of deputies and various parliamentary groups. The remaining 90% of the funds, totaling 2,083,068.49 euros, will be distributed proportionally according to the mandates held by the respective groups.

Furthermore, the structure includes a specific provision related to gender representation, quantified at 30,667.40 euros. These guidelines ensure that all political groups represented in the legislative body receive funding according to established legal criteria.
