The establishment of an “Albanian cultural association” in Switzerland due to illegal gambling games

Federal Commission of Casinos authorities prompted the cantonal police of Zurich to conduct an inspection at a cultural club located in the village of Zwillikon within the Zurich region. During the operation conducted on Saturday evening, law enforcement monitored an albanian cultural association originating from Kosovo. Police intervened to halt several illegal activities taking place within the premises.

Specifically, officers stopped an ongoing illegal poker game involving approximately ten individuals, in addition to another card game utilizing money. Beyond the gambling infractions, the investigation revealed multiple operational violations concerning the club’s management. The 55-year-old manager was found to be operating the facility without the requisite permits.

Furthermore, the establishment was allegedly violating regulations by allowing smoking in indoor areas, selling cigarettes without proper authorization, and operating as a club without the necessary usage permit. During the execution of the operation, authorities confiscated several items, including prohibited pepper spray, multiple computers, and mobile phones. The enforcement action highlighted systemic regulatory breaches concerning the operation of the cultural venue.

The police action underscores ongoing efforts to enforce compliance with gambling and public safety regulations in the area.
