The Ford executive has lost a large sum of money in electric vehicles.

The aspiration to become the director of Ford is a common dream, shared by children and adults alike. The role represents immense responsibility, as any misstep for a Ford director would be significant. The automotive giant has struggled to realize substantial success with its electric vehicle initiatives.

Consequently, in December, the company removed a staggering 16 billion euros of long-term investments from its financial records. Despite these considerable setbacks, executive director Jim Farley has been awarded the highest compensation since assuming his position in 2020. According to the Detroit Free Press, Farley received a total of 24 million euros in salary for the upcoming 2025 year.

This decision follows a particularly difficult period for the entire organization. Ford’s 2025 financial reports revealed a net loss of 8.2 billion dollars. The elevated salary reflects the challenging circumstances the company has faced.

A major fire at a key aluminum supplier further compounded the difficulties. The director’s continued leadership is viewed as crucial during this time of recovery and strategic realignment for ford.
