The Minister of Agriculture, Armend Muja, visited Kovragë in Istog today following severe damage caused by a hailstorm. The storm resulted in considerable harm to the region’s agricultural crops and trees. During his visit, the minister met with local farmers and inspected the aftermath of the adverse weather, taking time to hear their concerns regarding the losses sustained.
He was briefed on the scope of the damage to the fields and agricultural products, noting that many items were severely affected. In response to the situation, the Municipality of Istog has commenced accepting applications for damage assessments related to the hailstorm. Minister Muja assured the community that relevant institutions will conduct on-site damage assessments.
This process, he stated, will ensure that affected farmers receive support according to established procedures and mechanisms. The minister emphasized the commitment to addressing the agricultural losses experienced by the farming community. The farmers present requested comprehensive institutional support to help them recover from the significant setbacks in their agriculture sector.
