They need the solution never to come, Rama: Protests are being fueled by actors who seek chaos

Prime Minister Edi Rama addressed the ongoing protests in Tirana, which have persisted for approximately a month. Rama suggested that the demonstrations are being orchestrated by individuals, organizations, and external actors whose objective, in his view, is to incite social unrest and anger. Speaking on his podcast “Flasim,” the Prime Minister acknowledged the concerns of the citizenry while cautioning against the exploitation of their grievances by groups he believes lack constructive solutions.

“I understand that when things get personal, patience has run out,” Rama stated, but added that the situation should not allow a legitimate cause to become fodder for those who continue to escalate the instability, causing damage both spiritually and materially. According to Rama, the source of the protests involves groups and people who benefit from the resulting turmoil. He indicated that these external actors are capitalizing on the public discontent.

Rama maintained that while he recognizes the depth of the public’s frustration, he believes the situation is being manipulated by outside interests.
