Fidan provided context by comparing the current grouping to the larger 32-member NATO alliance, emphasizing that the current steps taken by Turkey and its partners are foundational. To support the operational framework of this new defense pact, the minister announced the establishment of a dedicated ministerial committee, mirroring the structure found within NATO, alongside the creation of a central secretariat.
