Ukrainian drones arrive in Siberia, oil refinery attacked

Ukrainian drones have reportedly struck deep into Russian territory, targeting an oil refinery in the city of Tyumen, located approximately 2,000 kilometers from the Ukrainian border. Local authorities confirmed the incident, stating that debris from the Ukrainian drones was found on the plant’s premises. While authorities indicated the attack did not cause serious damage, full details regarding the impact remain undisclosed.

In addition to the Tyumen incident, satellite imagery has also revealed evidence of damage to another oil refinery located in Moscow, following a separate drone attack. These images specifically show an oil tank with visible damage to its lid, suggesting an explosion occurred at the facility. These drone strikes deep within Russian territory mark an escalation in recent months, with Ukrainian forces reportedly intensifying their attacks.

The primary targets of these operations have been energy plants and other strategic infrastructure within Russia. The pattern of these attacks suggests a focus on disrupting key industrial and energy assets far from the frontline.
