USA breaks record with the largest football in the world

The Port Authority of Massachusetts has established a new Guinness World Record with the creation of a massive soccer ball. This colossal soccer ball, measuring 47.9 meters in diameter, is situated at Piers Park II in East Boston. The achievement was officially recognized by Guinness World Records, confirming it as the world’s largest soccer ball.

This size surpasses a previous record set by a 39.98-meter ball created in Qatar in 2013. The structure was developed by Britten, Inc. and Creative Inflatables, based in Ohio.

Its creation serves as a tribute to the FIFA World Cup matches scheduled to take place at the Boston stadium in Foxborough during June and July. The public will have the opportunity to view the immense ball until June 18. Authorities noted that the materials utilized in the construction of this world-record soccer ball are recycled.

The installation marks a significant public display related to the upcoming global sporting event. The scale of the ball makes it a prominent landmark in the area, drawing attention to the world’s anticipation for the tournament.
