Culture serves as a fundamental pillar of identity and a crucial medium for dialogue among diverse populations. According to VLEN, cultural events such as the “Summer of Ohrid” demonstrate art’s capacity to unite people across various differences. The 66th edition of the international festival, “Summer of Ohrid,” commenced with a performance by renowned Albanian soprano Ermonela Jaho, accompanied by the Opera and Ballet Orchestra.

This opening marked the beginning of one of the region’s most significant cultural festivals. “Summer of Ohrid” is described not merely as a temporary festival, but as an enduring tradition and a cultural value that has historically facilitated connections between different peoples, cultures, and generations. Over the course of the 40-day event, the festival is scheduled to host approximately 50 distinct artistic programs.
