Work has begun on replacing the drinking water pipeline on “Dëshmorët e Pashtrikut” and “Kullat Binjake” streets.

The Director of Public Services, Përparim Krasniqi, has announced the commencement of significant infrastructure projects aimed at improving urban services. Specifically, teams from KRU “Gjakova” began today the process of replacing the primary drinking water pipeline along “Dëshmorët e Pashtrikut” street and “Kullat Binjake” street. Furthermore, the rehabilitation of wells across various city streets is ongoing.

This comprehensive effort is designed to enhance both the overall road infrastructure and the essential services available to the community. In connection with these improvements, municipal authorities have advised residents to exercise caution and, where feasible, avoid circulating through specific segments of the city. Restrictions are in place for the Rahovec, Drenoc, Senoc, Pastasel, and Polluzhë street sections.

This temporary measure is necessary because intensive work is currently underway for the installation of a canal on “Tafil Zyberaj” street. This canal installation is a crucial preliminary step intended to facilitate the resurfacing of the street, which is scheduled to begin tomorrow. Krasniqi concluded the announcement by thanking the citizens for their patience and cooperation as these vital public works proceed.

The ongoing efforts underscore a commitment to upgrading the city’s core utilities, particularly its water supply and general road network.
